Acceptance to conference workshops in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry is based on manuscript evaluation.
Submissions open October 1, 2019, and close December 31, 2019.
Accepted participants will be notified by February 1, 2020.
Workshops are limited to 12 participants.
You may apply to two workshops but will be selected for only one.
Cost to attend
All inclusive conference costs are $550, including workshop, all meals and receptions, and campus housing in a private room.
If you prefer to stay elsewhere, the cost without campus housing is $475.
Merit-based and need-based full scholarships are available from the Transylvania County Library Foundation for select accepted participants.

Fiction: Submit up to 20 double-spaced pages of a story or novel excerpt.
Nonfiction: Submit up to 20 double-spaced pages of an essay or memoir excerpt.
Poetry: Submit up to 10 pages of poetry, with one poem per page, all in one document.
